Chain Transfer
A flexible conveyor connector designed to move product at a 90-degree angle along a horizontal plane to overcome space constraints.
Chain Transfer
Power Pack’s chain transfer seamlessly changes the direction of heavy and bulky goods from one horizontal line up and over to another horizontal line at a 90-degree angle. Typically designed as a mechanism for a chain-driven live roller conveyor (CDLR), the chain transfer can also move product within a system of multiple types of conveyors set up in a limited footprint.
Selecting the Right Conveyor
- The chain transfer is incorporated into a system alongside a CDLR to allow product to be moved at a 90-degree angle and thus avoid unnecessary movement around curves or other long distances. While ordinarily used in operation from one roller conveyor to another roller conveyor, it can also transfer goods from a roller conveyor to a chain conveyor if necessary.
- Depending upon the footprint of your operations, adding a chain transfer to your conveyor system saves space. Each mechanism is engineered and constructed according to your exact specifications, taking weight, demand, and use details into careful consideration.
Common Applications
- Chain transfers are typically used in warehousing, container, packaging, and material handling industries where large and heavy objects need to be moved long distances.
- When transporting pallets, tire rims, 55-gallon drums, and other heavy goods, the chain transfer is the most efficient and safe option to use between two conveyor lines.
